R&D Capital ends the year 2022 with significant growth in its business activities in all sectors served. We are pleased with the confidence our clients place in us year after year. In our role as a financial company, we have the opportunity to work with dynamic and innovative entrepreneurs, both in Quebec and across Canada.
In 2022, we renewed 85% of the loans in our portfolio for a total of $28 million. This recurring business involved the financing of SR&ED from the Canadian government (Scientific Research and Experimental Development) tax credits, as well as E-business (CDAE) and multimedia tax credits from the Quebec government.
Many new clients
In addition to the loyalty of our existing clientele, R&D Capital had the privilege of financing some twenty new companies over the past year, for a total of more than $10 million in loans. These new financings were carried out in the SR&ED, CDAE and multimedia sectors.
Overall, our loan portfolio is very diversified and is composed of companies working in the fields of life sciences (biotechnology and medical devices), information technology, green technology, film production and video game development and special effects.
In addition, R&D Capital has had great success with six C3i tax credit financings related to innovation and investment (equipment purchases).
In the present economic context, when funds are less readily available, it is important for companies to maximize asset financing, especially with respect to refundable tax credits. Our financing, which is offered in the form of a line of credit, is very flexible and will help you realize your projects by using the funds at your disposal in a way that is adapted to your needs. Do not hesitate to contact Pierre Binette, President for more information on this subject at the following e-mail address: pbinette@rdcapital.ca or at (514) 798-0493, extension 222.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients for their trust and loyalty over the years, and to wish you all a very happy holiday season.
